Hurda Red Wall

To see this map cookies and javascript must be enabled. If you are still having trouble after having checked both of these please contact us using the link at the top of the page

An overhanging wall of quality compact red granite, about 10m long and reaching 7m at the highest point. A number of problems at a good spread of grades, mats and spotters are an advantage for the higher problems.

About two miles north of Brae on the A970 is a large gravel turning area approx 200m past the Islesburgh sign. Park on the gravel, the bouldering wall is on the opposite side of the road 5mins walk up the hill. Walk about 25m north of the turning area crossing the road to a low point in the fence. Climb over and follow the ditch leftwards up the hill, the top of the wall soon comes into view.

Sorry but you need to be logged in to the site to see routes and problems at crags. Of course it costs nothing to register and you’ll be able to see all! Thanks.
