Description

A crag with some serious atmosphere in a stunning location. First recorded routes were climbed here in the late 80s but development has been slow until recent years. Since 2003, parties of climbers have been taking advantage of the lighthouse cliffs new route potential, putting up a good number of quality lines. Routes are often easier than they look, though small belay ledges and heavy swell can make even the easier lines a little intimidating. All in all, an outstanding venue now with over 80 routes!

Access

Take the A970 to Hillswick turning off on the B9078 to Eshaness, 2km before Hillswick. Follow this road eventually turning right at the junction signposted Eshaness Lighthouse. Park in the lighthouse car park.
